nother month, another countless number of reasons to break the bank. While it might not have as much to offer as August, September still looks like a solid month for our local EDM scene. No matter your taste or preference, there's bound to be something coming up for you this month - take a look.

September 5th - Moonbase Presents; Re-Entry

What happens when a doof crew brings their blend of DnB & dirty bass to a central location? Moonbase, that's what. Cheap entry backed by a strong local lineup, their bassy vibes are bound to be an interesting experience for anyone keen to try something new. For $10 presale, it's well worth a crack.

September 6th - Society ft. Made By Tsuki

Dishing out your weekly dose of bass, the crew at Society have dipped into their pockets this month for a special night headlined by Sydney pioneer Made By Tsuki. Producer, 3D designer & unearthed talent - Aberdeen Hotel’s bound to feel it. $10 at the door.

September 7th - SHIFT

Something different, something diverse, SHIFT are ready for another month of pushing the boundaries of Perth’s nightlife. No phones in sight, just people enjoying each others company - well worth a shot on a vacant Saturday.

September 7th - Death Disco ft. Ekko & Sidetrack

Homegrown heroes & DnB masters, Ekko & Sidetrack can always guarantee a night of good vibes. Paired with cheap entry & the bustling crowds of Capitol, this Death Disco isn’t one to pass up.

September 13th - BASSMENT N o s t a l g i a ft. p0gman, Sadhu, AFK & Avance

The return of Perth’s beloved dubstep hotspot, BASSMENT’s first show in nearly 12 months is set to bring plenty of punters out of retirement. Pushing Villa’s sound system to the limit with four monstrous headliners, Nostalgia isn’t one to sleep on. Be quick, tickets won’t last long.

September 13th - Outer Body ft. Interstellar Fugitives

Back after a month-long hibernation, Outer Body is hitting up its residence at Connections for a long night of all things deep & dark. Underground sounds and bassy house vibrations, if you’re one for the vibes of tech house, the sensory experience of Outer Body might just be for you.

September 14th - Hiline ft. Space Laces

After demolishing his set at Origin 2018, Space Laces is finally heading back down under. The mind behind tunes like ‘Throwin Elbows’, ‘Rumble’ & ‘Choppaz’, debauchery is all but guaranteed as Hiline light up Villa Nightclub. For $25 you can’t go wrong.

September 14th - Inhibit XL ft. Sub Focus, Danny Byrd, Hybrid Minds & Crissy Criss

Marking the return of Gloucester Parks ‘Bunker’, Inhibit XL is any DnB fans’ wet dream. Promising five headliners and some next level production, tickets were flying before you could blink. Final release moving fast, $83.

September 20th - Good Karma Music Presents; K Motionz

Flying UK star K Motionz all the way from Bristol, GKM provide a fresh take on Perth's beloved DnB scene for everyone to enjoy. Bound to pack out Sewing Room with their blend of jumpup & 160 BPM's, the local MC's will have the underground venue sweating all night long.

September 21st - Immerse Promotions x Death Disco

Two crews teaming up for a Saturday night showcase, Immerse x Death Disco are laying out Capitol’s stage for some of Perth’s finest riddim DJ’s. A night for those with heavier tastes, the mixing of 7inn, Wiggum & NMD will be a definite shakeup for any unawares who were after a standard night out. Free before Midnight.

Septmeber 21st - ProtoCode First Birthday ft. Flowidus

With the local record label celebrating a successful first year, you just know they had to throw a solid party. Already spanning their reach around the world, the crew had no trouble securing Perth favourite Flowidus for a night of guaranteed madness. Heating up the Sewing Room with local MC Macshane on the mic, this is one to watch out for.

September 28th - Death Disco ft. Gemunji

Another gap to fill your Saturday night, DD provide the crowd, the drinks, the free entry before midnight - and to top it off they’ve thrown in East-Aussie rep Gemunji to throw down some bass on top. If you’re after something to do, look no further.

September 29th - Listen Out Festival

The one event you can guarantee everyone will be at, Listen Out is set to kick off WA’s festival season in style. A monstrous lineup boasting Schoolboy Q, Denzel Curry, Diplo & Flume at the top of a hugely talented bill, LO has plenty for everyone. If you can work out HBF Arena’s lack of internet connection, you’re in for a killer start to festival season. Three weeks to secure tickets, you’ve been warned.

September 29th - Listen Out Afterparty

Nothing confirmed as of yet, but you can almost guarantee there’ll be something for the committed ravers to kick on to after Listen Out rounds off on the 29th. Last year saw a Metro City takeover with Fisher & Camelphat, and with so much talent on this years bill there’s no doubt any afterparty is set to be a big one. Keep an eye out.

September 29th - I.C Presents; Truth, Khiva & Sepia

Presenting three of the dubstep powerhouses defining underground sounds we all love, the crew at Inceptive Concepts are taking to the Sewing Room to round off September with a tribute to the deep, dark side of bass music. Three international headliners fresh from making waves across the globe, I.C will be the perfect outing for anyone looking to dodge that Listen Out FOMO. Not to be sniffed at, the underground goes hard.


The further we get into 2019, the more it solidifies itself as one of the best years Perth's EDM scene has had in years. With so much goodness lined up there's no excuse to sit at home bored on the weekends, so get your mates, get some tickets, get out there and have some fun.
