A
s of January 9th, 2020, Australia remains stuck in the midst of one of the most, if not the most, devastating natural disasters this country has ever seen.
Fires bigger than Belgium have been ravaging our beloved home for months, taking lives, demolishing countless homes, leaving devastation in their wake. Lives have been taken, lives have been ruined, lives have been changed forever, and if there was ever a time to come together as an entire nation, this is it.
Bushfire relief efforts have struggled amidst funding cuts, poor financial allocation and an overwhelming dependence on volunteers, and for too long, not enough was being done. Thankfully, I’m proud to be able to write that this is starting to change.Through communal effort Australia has grabbed the world's attention, and as of today, over $100 million dollars has been donated to our emergency and relief services.
As loyal members of the global EDM scene, it makes us at PinkMilk proud to see our beloved community rallying around a cause so dear to us, and not enough can be done to thank those who’ve contributed. To date, some of the biggest names in dance music have donated, spread awareness, and inspired hope among many Australian’s, and we intend to make sure their deeds don’t go unnoticed.
